of the South-Ossetian part of the Joint Control Commission
on the resolution of the Georgian-Ossetian conflict

As it was earlier informed, on June 23, 2008 a delegation of ambassadors from 12 countries of the European Union accredited in Georgia visited the Republic of South Ossetia. The aim of the visit was to acknowledge with the course of implementation of the International donor program on economic rehabilitation of the zone of the Georgian-Ossetian conflict.

European Union delegation consisting of the representatives of diplomatic missions accredited in Georgia arrives today to the Republic of South Ossetia.
«European Union delegates are planning to meet the Deputy RSO Government Chairman Boris Chochiev who is also the Minister for Special Cases and South Ossetian JCC part Co-chairman. Besides that the ambassadors will visit the objects rehabilitating within the Program of Georgian-Ossetian conflict zone rehabilitation»-was informed IA «Res» correspondent at RSO Foreign Ministry.

The Georgian side keep on fortify the police post at the Ergnety village in the Georgian-Ossetian conflict zone. This was informed to IA «Res» correspondent at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia.

An opera singer Dolores Bilaonova was honored with the title of RSO people’s artist by decree of the President of the Republic of South Ossetia Eduard Kokoity. RSO Minister of Culture Tamerlan Dzutsev informed IA «Res» correspondent that the appropriate diploma was handed at the evening party devoted to the seventieth birthday 45 years of creative activity of the opera singer Dolores Bilaonova.

Today in the Republic of South Ossetia bid farewell to 18 year old Alan Khodov who died during the shelling of Tskhinval. The mournful measures were held in the Khod village which was the home village for the diseased.
Representatives of the Republic’s Government headed by the President of RSO Eduard Kokoity accompanied the diseased to the church-yard.

Delegation of the Republic of South Ossetia is going to participate science and practice conference on the theme of: «The Statehood of South Ossetia: state and perspectives of development». The Conference will take place on 19-20 June in the capital of North Ossetia Vladikavkaz. «The main subject to be discussed within the framework of science and practice conference in Vladikavkaz is the search for strategic directions for overcoming of Georgian-Ossetian conflict with the consideration of situation developed in South Ossetia»-informed IA «Res» correspondent at RSO Government press-service.

Georgian side is building the military engineering constructions in immediate proximity from the capital of the Republic of South Ossetia Tskhinval. This was informed to IA «Res» correspondent by the Minister of Internal Affairs of RSO Mikhail Mindzaev.

Georgian side is equipping fortifications in immediate proximity from the capital of the Republic of South Ossetia Tskhinval. As IA «Res» correspondent was informed at RSO MIA press-service the construction works were conducted near the Ergneti village.

The Attorney General’s Office of the Republic of South Ossetia is intended to institute legal proceedings on the fact of the shelling of RSO capital Tskhinval on the night of 15 June. This was informed to IA «Res» correspondent by the first deputy of RSO Attorney General Eldar Kokoev.

On 14 June 2008 the team of military observers from the three sides in concert with the OSCE Mission representatives conducted a monitoring of the Little and Larger Liakhva gorge settlements and also at the south-eastern border of JPKF responsibility zone.
