Already within a week hot weather keeps in South Ossetia, and in the course of five days Tskhinval remains without potable water. The reason of such situation is the deliberate damage of the sluice Edis-Tskhinval, passing through the Georgian villages, by the inhabitants of which are arranged illegal cuts for irrigation of their gardens and vegetable gardens. At present on the given site of the sluice is revealed about twenty illegal cuts requiring immediate liquidation. However the Georgian side ignores the carrying out of these works, connecting their holding with the disblocking of the Trans-Caucasian main on the site Kekhvi-Tamarasheni.
The damming of the supply of potable water to Tskhinval can cause not only the whole series of negative processes as the further aggravation of the situation in the zone of the conflict, but it also threatens with epidemiological accident, the consequences of which will lead to criminal liability.
In the created serious situation the command of JPKF is convinced that the co-chairmen of JCC will give an objective estimation of the developed situation and will condemn the actions of the Georgian side.
