Georgian side fired with grenade launchers and light weapon Ossetian settlements Andis and Sarabuk. As it was informed to IA «Res» correspondent by the deputy of Defense Ministry Ibragim Gasseev, the shelling started on 29 July early morning from the side of Georgian police and peacekeepers illegal posts.
«Approximately at 5:00 Georgian peacekeepers from the illegal posts in the vicinity of Sarabuk village proceeded to shelling of Sarabuk. The shelling lasted nearly one hour»-said Gasseev.
«At about 8:00 Georgian detachments started the shelling of Andis village from the direction of Georgian inhabited village of Sveri. Here also were used anti-tank and automatic grenade launchers. The fusillade lasted almost the whole mourning. There are no causalities from the Ossetian side»-mentioned Gasseev. He emphasized that JPKF and OSCE monitoring team have also been fired from Sveri.
«Georgian side fired the monitoring team of JPKF and OSCE as well approximately at 9:00 in the vicinity of Andis village. As far as I know there are no any casualties»-noted Gasseev.
