Kokoity: Georgia plans to bring toxic drugs in South Ossetia

There is a large number of life-threatening drugs which are planned to be illegally distributed on the territory of South Ossetia. This was stated by South Ossetian President Eduard Kokoity at a meeting on health issues. The meeting was also attended by Deputy Prime Minister Domenti Kulumbegov, Head of the presidential administration Arsen Gagloev, Health Minister Otar Gassiev.

Eduard Kokoity, said that according to data available with the South Ossetian security services, there were attempt to transit drugs through South Ossetia, as well as distribute them directly on the territory of the Republic.
These medications, according to the president, together with narcotic action cause irreversible necrotic changes in the human body leading to lethal outcome.
"The list of these medicines will be provided to the Ministry of Health. Appropriate instructions are given to our law enforcement agencies to monitor the possible appearance of these drugs in our pharmacies, " said the President.
The President stressed that in case these drugs appear in the pharmacy network of South Ossetia, strict measures will be taken against those responsible.
