Today, on October, 19, the youth government of South Ossetia has organized a protest action «Awards - to heroes! A shame medal -to Saakashvili! ». Participants of the action have opposed to awarding the President of Georgia Michail Saakashvili the Legion of Honour.
The Deputy Prime-Minister of the RSO government Domenty Kulumbegov, the Minister of Education, Science and Youth Policy of the RSO Ariana Dzhioeva, representatives of the youth wing of the party «Unity» and the «People`s Party», and also the student council of the South-Ossetian State University have taken part in the action. Participants of the action have expressed their indignation with regard to awarding the President of Georgia Michail Saakashvili the Legion of Honour by the President of France Nicolas Sarkozy. «For the first time in history this high award has been given to a person whose arms are blood-stained up to his shoulders, - the participant of the action, a member of the RSO youth government Sergey Kochiev has emphasized. - Never before the high award of France has been so humiliated». According to the Chairman of the youth government Michael Bestaev, it is inconceivable to award the person who has committed genocide of the Ossetian people. «Saakashvili's target was to wipe out the whole nation - the Ossetian people, - Bestaev has underlined. - And we, the youth of South Ossetia, are expressing today our indignation, our pain at such gross injustice, and we are also calling for peace of the world». According to participants of the action, in days of old executioners and criminals were awarded to another order - a shameful medal. Reviving this ancient tradition, the youth of Tskhinval declared establishment of «The Red Tie Order». «The founder of this award is the extremely well-known figure, an organizer of genocide and the armed aggression, the unprecedented misinformer - Michail Saakashvili, chewing his red tie for the whole world to see», - Sergey Kochiev has underlined. At the end of the action the participants on behalf of the citizens of the Republic have awarded the fascist and terrorist Michail Saakashvili a shameful medal- «The Red Tie Order».
