South Ossetia and the Geneva discussions co-chairmen disagree with steps on preparation of the document on force non-use. It has been declared today by the Plenipotentiary of the President of South Ossetia on the post conflict settlement Boris Chochiev at the joint briefing with the Geneva discussions co-chairmen in Tskhinval. «During the today's meeting with the Geneva discussions co-chairmen we were offered five steps of preparation of the future force non-use draft, - Chochiev has told. - We, for our part, have agreed with them that at the next round of the Geneva discussions we will present our vision of the draft, offered by them.

I `d like to say, that we think quite differently about working out the future agreement on force non-use». Concerning the agenda of the next round of the Geneva discussions, the plenipotentiary has reminded that at the previous meeting the Russian side declared that it would be the guarantor of non-use of force for the part of South Ossetia and Abkhazia, having offered, that the European Union would have to stand surety for Georgia. «However this variant has not been approved. We will be working to make this proposal the intermediate agreement and to continue working in this direction», - Chochiev has underlined. According to the plenipotentiary, at the forthcoming meeting it is also planned to discuss a question on delimitation of the frontier between South Ossetia and Georgia. «Within the framework of mechanisms on prevention and reaction to incidents this question has already been discussed by us, we are also going to consider it in Geneva», - Chochiev has told. As he said, the South Ossetian party had also initiated a question of discussion the report of the EU commission led by Hajdi Taljavini, taking into account the today's realities. «Three years ago a lot of countries, including the Georgian politicians, denied that Georgia had started the war, - the plenipotentiary has reminded. - Today we can hear the contra version. From the European Union report it follows that Georgia has attacked South Ossetia. It has also been confirmed in Georgia by Edward Shevardnadze, Nino Burjanadze, -the former Georgian ambassador in Russia; - recently it has also been recognized by Condoleezza Rice. Taking into account the new realities we will suggest returning to discussion of the report of Taljavini». In turn, the co-chairman for the EU Phillip Lefor has noticed that among the participants of the Geneva discussions there are opposite positions, but, nevertheless, he is convinced that there are ways to the situation improvement.
