South Ossetian President met with Commander-in-Chief of the Land Forces of the Russian Federation

South Ossetian President Leonid Tibilov has received Commander-in Chief of the RF Land Forces, Colonel-General Vladimir Chirkin, who arrived in the Republic on a working visit.
During the meeting the President reported on the early implementation of agreements reached at the meeting of the presidents of Russia and South Ossetia in Sochi.
"We agreed on many areas of development and establishment of the Republic, including the security of the Republic", - said Tibilov.

During the meeting has also been discussed the issue of pension provision of the South Ossetian servicemen, the preservation of the number of personnel of the Ministry of Defense of South Ossetia and providing the Armed Forces of the Republic with military equipment.
In addition, Leonid Tibilov raised the issue of building the road from the village of Ugaerdantae (Dzausky district) in bypass of the military town of the 4th Russian military base, located near the village.
In turn, Chirkin has said that the purpose of his working visit to South Ossetia is to become familiar with the situation at the 4th Russian military base.
"I would like to become familiar with the situation at the base in general- to see how our servicemen are accommodated, what problems they have," - he explained.
Chirkin has added that during his visit he plans to discuss the issues of recruitment of the citizens of South Ossetia for the Russian sub-units in the Republic.
It should be reminded that during his working visit Vladimir Chirkin is planning to inspect the Fourth Russian military base in South Ossetia, the progress in combat training, staffing of the contingent, the state of the material and technical resources.
The visit of the Commander-in-Chief is taking place on the eve of the 20th anniversary of bringing the Russian peacekeepers into the zone of the Georgian-Ossetian conflict.
