Cultural delegation of South Ossetia at the proper level represented the Republic in the XV International Festival of Artists "Peace to the Caucasus", being held September 6 - 9 in Anapa (Krasnodar region of Russia).
As Deputy Culture Minister of South Ossetia Julietta Dzheranova reported IA "Res", the State Song and Dance Group of the Republic of South Ossetia "Simd" and South Ossetian harmonist Sarmat Dudaev performed a concert program at the festival.
"An exhibition of arts and crafts was also organized within the framework of the festival, where, in particular, have been exposed the works of the South Ossetian artisans - Nariman Kalaev and Andrew Kasabiev" - said Dzheranova.
She noted that the South Ossetian delegation had also taken part in the festival "Legends of Taman", held on September 8-9 at the ethnographic complex "Ataman", Temryuk District.
"We visited the village of Ataman, having the opportunity to learn the culture and customs of this country, to learn the craft and folk dances of the Cossacks, as well as other peoples," - said the deputy minister.
In her view, such festivals contribute greatly to the convergence of various nationalities.
"Creative teams representing different nationalities, briefed each other on their way of life and culture, and also managed to make friends" - said Dzheranova.
She stressed that the South Ossetian artists had performed in the festival "Peace to the Caucasus" at the appropriate level.
"The concert program with participation of our artists and artisans of South Ossetia made an extraordinary impression on the guests of the festival," - said Dzheranova.
According to Dzheranova, "Peace to the Caucasus" and "Legends of Taman" were for the guests and for the participants of the festival incredibly vivid and memorable.
