"The main document that laid the foundation for cooperation between our countries - Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation, Mutual Assistance between the Russian Federation and the Republic of South Ossetia, -is strategic in building relations between our countries. On its basis is formed the entire legal framework of cooperation, including the transport sector. In the development of this document last year, we signed two intergovernmental agreements -'' On the Principles of Cooperation in the Field of Transport'' and'' Cooperation in the Field of Aviation Search and Rescue.'' Today's document ''Agreement on International Road Transport'' is very important for transport cooperation between our countries, especially, taking into account that the freight turnover between our countries has been increasing every year. For the past seven months, compared to the same period in 2011, it has increased by 2.5 times. I am pleased with the positive dynamics of our relationship. This agreement will give us the appropriate basis to achieve better results ", - concluded the Transport Minister of Russia.
