Appeal of the IPA Community "For Democracy and Human Rights" to the Chairman of the Interstate Council of the Eurasian Economic Community, the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
Inter-parliamentary Assembly of the Community "For Democracy and Rights of Nations", established in 2006 by the supreme representative bodies of the Republic of Abkhazia, the Moldavian Republic of Transdniestria and the Republic of South Ossetia for the expression of the consolidated position of our three states at the parliamentary level, appreciates the integration processes in the post-Soviet space, with the leading role of the Russian Federation. We are convinced that the potential and opportunities of the Eurasian Economic Community are to a large extent in demand by the population of the countries –members of the community, and by the people of other countries, which are not yet members of the EEC, but consider it as their strategic goal.
Republic of Abkhazia, the Moldavian Republic of Transdniestria and the Republic of South Ossetia, based on the will of their peoples, continue sustained efforts aimed at strengthening their statehood and the final consolidation of their status as a full member of the international community, Russia's allies. We are convinced that the success of such efforts is the closest cooperation with the Russian Federation, which is the guarantor of rights and respect for the interests of our people. There is no doubt that only the coordination of our efforts with Russia, the full participation of our countries in the integration process will promote more efficient use of the economic potential of the states - participants of the Community "For Democracy and Human Rights" and will create a framework for new subjects in the integration processes in the Eurasian Economic Community, its institutions, including the Customs Unions with a prospect of membership in these structures for our countries.
Based on the above mentioned statement, we are appealing to you, dear Vladimir Vladimirovich, to consider the question of granting the Republic of Abkhazia, the Moldavian Republic of Transdniestria, the Republic of South Ossetia, and the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly our full participation in the activities of the Eurasian Economic Community and its institutions, including the Customs Union with the prospect of membership in the structures for our countries. In the first phase Abkhazia, Transnistria and South Ossetia are ready to interact with the structures of the Eurasian Economic Community in any format, including the format of the observers.
For their part, our republics are ready to provide the most favorable preferential trade regime for goods and services of the countries - participants of the Eurasian Economic Community in our territories, as well as for the active work on the approximation and harmonization of our legislation with the legal stipulations in force within the frames of the Eurasian Economic Community.
Inter-parliamentary Assembly of the Community "For Democracy and Rights of Nations" expresses the hope for understanding and support of its efforts to participate in the integration processes within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Community, and confirms the belief that the most active participation of our states in these processes complies with the strategic interests of our countries and is the guarantee of a free, dignified and safe future of the peoples of Abkhazia, Transnistria and South Ossetia.
