The mourning ceremony of laying wreaths and flowers at the place of death and at the graves of the fallen defenders of South Ossetia was held in Tskhinval. The ceremony was attended by President of the Republic Leonid Tibilov, government officials, members of Parliament, a delegation of visitors from Russia and Abkhazia.
Wreaths were laid at the monument to defenders of the Fatherland, in the Valley of the heroes at the "Eternal Flame" and at the memorial cemetery in the yard of the school № 5 in Tskhinval, as well as in the Upper Town of the Russian peacekeepers and at the monument to the Hero of Russia Denis Vetchinov.
It should be reminded that today in South Ossetia are being held the activities on the occasion of the Day of Defender of the Fatherland.
