During the today's meeting Presidium of the Parliament of South Ossetia decided to establish a commission on giving political and legal appraisal of Georgia's aggression against South Ossetia in August 2008. The Commission, consisting of 20 members, has included leaders of all parliamentary committees, representatives of the presidential administration, law enforcement agencies and the Cabinet. The Commission is headed by the Parliament Speaker Stanislav Kochiev.

The head of the Presidential Administration, Boris Chochiev and Vice Speaker Yuri Dzitstsoity have been appointed the Deputy Chairmen of the Commission. In a month members of the Commission should submit a memorandum on the work done to the Parliament. In addition, the Commission intends to consider and appraise not only the events that occurred in South Ossetia in 2008, but the Georgian aggression in 2004, as well as the period between the two acts of aggression. MPs noted that at that time the Georgian security forces had been carrying out provocations, bombings, sabotage, murder and kidnapping against the citizens of the Republic.
As noted by Speaker Stanislav Kochiev, after setting the appraisal of actions of Georgia it would be passed a number of laws on combating the Georgian fascism.
The question was submitted to the today`s session.
Earlier, the President of the Republic Leonid Tibilov sent an official letter to the Parliament with the suggestion of giving political and legal appraisal of the actions of Georgia against South Ossetia.
