The 24th round of international discussions on security and stability in Transcaucasia is underway in Geneva (Switzerland). As reported to the news agency "Res" over the phone from Geneva by head of the South Ossetian delegation, Presidential Envoy to the RSO for post-conflict settlement Murat Dzhioev, today for participants of the discussions was organized the information session on the issue of unilateral declarations of South Ossetia, Abkhazia and Georgia on the non-use of force. It has also been held bilateral meetings of the South Ossetian delegation with the co-chairs and a number of delegations-participants of the Geneva discussions.

The South Ossetian delegation has noted that "the unilateral declaration of presidents of South Ossetia, Abkhazia and Georgia, made in 2010, can be regarded only as an intermediate step on the way to the signing of a legally binding bilateral agreement on the non-use of force by Georgia against South Ossetia and Abkhazia with international guarantees. "
"Tomorrow the 24th round of discussions will be continued. It is assumed that the main attention will be paid to the ensuring of security in South Ossetia and Abkhazia, and in particular, to the expert work on a statement of all participants on the commitment to the principle of the non-use of force ", - said Dzhioev.
The Geneva discussions are attended by representatives of the Republic of South Ossetia, the Republic of Abkhazia, Georgia, the Russian Federation, the United States, as well as the UN, the OSCE and the EU.
