In South Ossetia is being shot a documentary about the war for freedom and independence

In Tskhinval is under way the filming of a documentary about the South Ossetian writer Tamerlane Tadtaev, the winner of "Russian Award," the author of the books "The Apostate," "Son," "The Doom`s Day," "Plastic City," telling about the tragic events in South Ossetia during the period from 1991 to 2008.

As the news agency "Res" has been reported by a producer of the film Tatiana Romanova, the author tells not only about the war in South Ossetia for freedom and independence, "but also about other aspects of the life of young guys, when they were falling in love, parting, dreaming..."
"Along with the documentary film is under way the filming of a short film "Russian Roulette," based on the eponymous short story by Tadtaev. The script is highly appreciated by the colleagues of the writer, including the famous Russian writer, the laureate of the Cannes film festival, the dean of the screenwriting faculty of the All-Russian State Institute of Cinematography Yuri Arabov – Tamerlane`s screenwriting mentor,"- said Romanov.
The filming is taking place in Ossetian language with the participation of the Ossetian actors.
"The shooting has started thanks to Tamerlane`s friends; great assistance to the film crew has provided a publisher of his books Timur Tsaliti. The director, cameraman and the actors are involved in the shooting without fee, "- said the producer of the film.
The shooting began on October 15; the release of the film is scheduled for August 2014. The filming in South Ossetia will end on October 24.
