South Ossetian President Leonid Tibilov took part in the grand meeting dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the international public union "The Supreme Council of Ossetians", which was held in North Ossetia, said IA "Res" the press secretary of the President Ghana Yanovskaya.

In his speech, Leonid Tibilov has noted that the people gathered in the hall have done much for their country, for Ossetia.
"God gave you a lot of strength, aimed at ensuring prosperity for Ossetia. I am sure that now your energy and thoughts serve for the benefit of our country," - said the head of state.
Leonid Tibilov addressed words of special gratitude to the management of "Styr Nykhas," his head Boris Basayev.
"This man has been applying a lot of effort for unification of Ossetia", - said the head of state.
Special words of welcome Leonid Tibilov has addressed to representatives of the Ossetian diaspora who arrived from different countries.
During his speech, the President recalled the great assistance rendered by "Styr Nykhas" in tough times for South Ossetia - in the 90s and in August 2008.
"You have always been strong backing to us," - said the head of state.
Leonid Tibilov drew attention to the work of the rising generation.
"Much work is focused on young people. We must direct all our efforts to assure future prosperity for our younger generation. I know that representatives of "Styr Nykhas" from both North and South Ossetia are doing everything to bring up a new generation in the spirit of patriotism and humanism,"- said the head of state.
Leonid Tibilov thanked the head of North Ossetia, Teimuraz Mamsurov, stressing the importance of a strong relationship between the North and South Ossetia. The Head of State has stressed that the historical purpose of the divided nation is the union.
Leonid Tibilov also presented state awards. In particular, the Order of Friendship was given to Boris Basayev, Gregory Badtiev, Jacob Dzhioev, Kazbeg Kudziev, Boris Tsugkiev. Certificate of Honor of South Ossetia was awarded to Marat Lyanov, Makhar Marzaganov, Savely Tomaev, Akhsar Khodov; the honorary title of Honored Worker of the Republic of South Ossetia was awarded to Tatarkan Gappoev.
Letters of gratitude of the Head of North Ossetia Taimuraz Mamsurov were awarded to Boris Chochiev and Robert Gagloev. Certificate of Honor of the Parliament of North Ossetia was awarded to Yuri Gagloyty and Murat Dzhioev. Gatsyr Pliev was decorated with the medal of North Ossetia- Alania "For the Glory".
