According to the press service of the Foreign Ministry of South Ossetia, these days the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the RSO, Dmitry Medoev, has taken part in a number of events as part of his working visit to Italy and has held a series of meetings with representatives of political and cultural circles.
The Foreign Minister of the Republic also participated in the opening of the exhibition "Colors of the Caucasus" in the Gallery of Contemporary Art Alexander Museum Palace in Pesaro on October 14.
The exposition, in particular, has presented the paintings by famous Ossetian artists - Magrez Kelekhsaev, Lavrenty Kasoev, Akhsar Esenov, Georgy Gabaraev, Oleg Basayev, Vadim Pukhaev, Vadim Kadzhaev and others. The exhibition will last until October 21.
At the opening of the exhibition the Ossetian violinist Grigory Tadtaev has performed the works by famous European composers.
The exhibition is organized by the Union of Ossetian Societies of Europe "Revival" and the representation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia in the Italian Republic within the framework of the cultural project Days of Ossetia in Europe.
At the opening ceremony, Dmitry Medoev made a welcome speech, thanking the organizers of the project and artists whose works are on display at the exhibition.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic noted the importance of further strengthening the cultural ties between South Ossetia and Italy, allowing the people to get to know each other better.
As Dmitry Medoev has noted earlier, the work on expanding international relations of South Ossetia is purposeful. In addition to Italy, South Ossetian diplomats are establishing many-sided contacts with a number of other states.
