South Ossetia will participate in the 2nd Sochi Eurasian Integration Forum

The second Sochi forum of Eurasian integration, dedicated to the theme "Prospects for the development and strengthening of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization", will be held on April 17-18. This is reported by the portal of the Institute of CIS countries.
About 200 people, including foreign experts, politicians and public figures from 17 SCO member countries, observer countries and SCO dialogue partners, as well as countries involved in integration projects in the "Great Eurasia" space, will take part in the forum. Among them are South Ossetia, Abkhazia, Armenia, Afghanistan, Belarus, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Mongolia, Pakistan, Syria, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, etc.
Within two days plenary and workshops on such topics as "Great Eurasia", "World order, security and fight against terrorism", "SCO and economic - integration processes in Eurasia", "Economy, energy, transport and migration "," Interaction of cultures and religions," etc, will be held on the grounds of the Radisson- Lazurnaya Hotel.
The organizer of the representative international platform is the Institute of CIS countries with the support of the Presidential Grant Fund and PJSC Gazprom.
Preparations for the upcoming forum were discussed at a meeting of the organizing committee chaired by the first Deputy Head of the State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots, the head of the Institute of CIS countries Konstantin Zatulin.
The Sochi Forum Organizing Committee also includes the Russian President's Special Envoy for SCO Affairs, Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Foreign Ministry Bakhtier Khakimov, outstanding Russian scientists and political scientists Sergei Luzyanin, Alexander Lukin, Andranik Migranyan,Vladimir Evseev.
The first Sochi forum was held in April 2016 under the title "On the second track. The role of civil society and public diplomacy in the further development and expansion of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. " It was attended by over 300 participants from 26 countries, including the delegation of South Ossetia headed by Anatoly Bibilov, the then Speaker of Parliament.
The current Foreign Minister of South Ossetia Dmitry Medoev also took part in The organization of the First Sochi Forum.
