President Anatoly Bibilov congratulated Orthodox Christians on Christmas, reports the presidential press service. The head of state attended the Christmas service at the Temple of the Most Holy Trinity of the Russian Orthodox Church in Tskhinval. The festive divine service was held by Father Sergey (Kokoev).
Addressing the parishioners, Anatoly Bibilov noted that “the bright holiday of Christmas gives the believers warmth and hope, filling our hearts with love and kindness. The Savior helps everyone: the sick, the suffering and the distressed. "
He stressed that “our strength is in faith and only by uniting we can move along the path of peace and creation.”
The President thanked the head priest of the Church Fr Sergiy for introducing the citizens of South Ossetia to the Orthodox faith and spiritual sources, and wished the congregation family well-being, good health and God's grace.
