President of the Republic of Abkhazia Raul Khadjimba has met with a delegation of South Ossetia, arrived in the Republic as international observers.
The South Ossetian delegation included First Deputy Chairman of the Parliament Petr Gassiev, First Deputy Head of the Presidential Executive Office Alan Dzhussoev and the CEC Secretary Kristina Avlokhova, the press service of the Parliament reports.
At the beginning of the meeting, Raul Khadjimba addressed with a welcoming speech and thanked the guests from the friendly republic for their arrival. He wished the president and all the people of South Ossetia peace and prosperity.
Peter Gassiev conveyed the welcoming address from the President of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov and thanked Raul Khadjimba for the warm welcome.
“Allow me to convey to you the warmest wishes from the president of our republic, Anatoly Ilyich Bibilov. I am sure that the elections in Abkhazia will be held in a calm and democratic atmosphere. Friendship relations have been developed between our countries, and I think they will be strengthening,” he said.
In addition, took place the meeting of the Speaker of the National Assembly - the Parliament of Abkhazia Valery Kvarchia with the First Deputy Chairman of the Parliament of South Ossetia Peter Gassiev. The parties discussed issues of bilateral cooperation and exchange of experience.
