Speaker of the Parliament of South Ossetia Alan Tadtaev at a meeting on Tuesday instructed the Chairman of the Committee on Defense and Security, Atsamaz Bibilov, to create a deputy working group that will deal with issues of the state border of the Republic.
The Speaker instructed Bibilov to invite all the people who were involved in border demarcation at different times to inform the current deputy corps about the work carried out in their time.
“We need to invite those people, members of the commissions, who were responsible for designation of the borders of South Ossetia, so that they could tell how the borders were drawn, what work was varies out in that direction,” Tadtaev said.
The Speaker also instructed the head of the Committee to determine the composition of the deputy group in the near future.
“Make up your questions and indicate the day we invite these people. The deputy corps should have full information on decisions taken at one time on our borders, as well as on the report on demarcation and delimitation of the borders presented by the previous convocation,” the Speaker emphasized.
Alan Tadtaev has assured that the leadership of the Republic, headed by the President, is doing everything possible to normalize the situation on the borders of the Republic.
“Despite the obvious provocative nature of the actions of the Georgian side on the border of South Ossetia in the village of Tsnelis, a lot of work is being done there by the leadership of the Republic to normalize the situation. As for the Sinagur, we were informed that in addition to the checkpoint, they began to build a road there,” Tadtaev said.
The Chairman of the Parliament also instructed the Committee on Defense and Security and the Committee on Legislation, Legality and Local Self-Government to jointly develop a statement on the actions of the Georgian security forces in the territory and in the border zone of South Ossetia.
