A round table on the theme: "Humanitarian cooperation in the field of youth policy, sports and tourism between the Russian Federation and the Republic of South Ossetia" will be held in the Russian Public Chamber on Thursday. The exhibition "South Ossetia - the land of a solar dream" will also be presented as part of the event.
According to the press service of the Committee on Youth Policy, Sports and Tourism, the round table participants will be members of the Public Chamber of Russia, representatives of relevant authorities, public organizations of the Russian Federation and South Ossetia.
"South Ossetia will be represented by a delegation led by Chairman of the Committee on Youth Policy, Sports and Tourism Sergey Zasseev and his deputy Valentina Gatikoeva. The delegation also included representatives of South Ossetian youth, experts in the field of culture, youth policy, sports and tourism of the Republic, living in the Russian Federation, "the press service said.
The purpose of the event is to develop mechanisms for interaction in the field of youth policy, sports and tourism with the Russian Federation, as well as to introduce and attract the world community to the historical and cultural heritage of South Ossetia. According to the participants of the round table, holding such events will contribute to greater integration and strengthening of two cultures.
The main exhibits of the exhibition will be paintings and sculptures of famous contemporary Ossetian artists, a separate stand will display old original household items and Ossetian crafts, wood crafts of folk craftsmen, craftsmen and artisans, photo collages with the sights of South Ossetia.
Visitors to the exhibition can not only get acquainted with the culture and folk art of Ossetians, but also meet with the author of the works, the most talented wood artist and sculptor Andrei Kasabiev.
A presentation of tourist videos on the picturesque and historical places of South Ossetia will also take place.
