President Anatoly Bibilov sent a telegram of condolences to the relatives and friends of the ex-deputy of the European Parliament, the outstanding Italian public figure and journalist Julietto Chiesa in connection with his death, the press service of the head of state reports.

“The news of the death of the Italian journalist, writer and public figure Julietto Chiesa is perceived in South Ossetia as a bereavement for our people.

A devoted friend of South Ossetia, a man of amazing fortitude, the highest decency and exemplary professionalism, has passed away. His contribution to the defense and promotion of the foreign policy positions of South Ossetia is truly invaluable.

Sharing the bitterness of irreparable loss, I send to all friends and relatives of Julietto Chiesa my deep condolences in connection with the grief that befell them,” the text of condolences says.
