188 people are in quarantine in South Ossetia, there are no new cases

South-Ossetian Consumer Supervision Committee has tested for coronavirus another 58 quarantined citizens, all the results are negative, new cases have not been registered in the Republic, Deputy Head of the department Anna Gagloeva told IA “Res” on Monday.

188 people are under observation in quarantine, of whom 118 are in medical institutions (RMMC - 54, infectious diseases hospital - 20, Znaur hospital - 26, Leningor hospital - 18), hotel "Alan" - 60. Another 8 builders are in quarantine in separate premises, 2 employees of the ICC are also quarantined.

"At the moment, there are no patients with a laboratory-confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19 in the isolation ward," Gagloeva said.

Since May of this year, more than 4.3 thousand tests for coronavirus have been conducted in the Republic.

In total, 89 people infected with coronavirus have been detected and recovered since May, all of them were in quarantine in the medical institutions. The last case was registered on July 17th.

Until August 31, restrictions on crossing the border with Russia have been extended, while since August 1, some easing of restrictions have been introduced for a certain category of citizens of the RSO.

This category of citizens (who have had coronavirus and who have antibodies) will be in their homes, but according to the receipt given by them, under the supervision of doctors.

Exemption from 14-day quarantine on arrival in the RSO applies only to citizens who have undergone SARS-CoV-2 (coronavirus), subject to the mandatory provision of the results of all three of the following studies: 1. Determination of SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus RNA by PCR 2. Determination of IG G antibodies to SARS-CoV-2 by ELISA 3. Determination of IG M antibodies to SARS-CoV-2 by ELISA.
