The government of South Ossetia at a meeting on Wednesday adopted a resolution on the establishment Of a trade representative office of the Republic of South Ossetia in the Russian Federation.
It was noted that in order to promote the foreign economic and foreign trade interests of South Ossetia and promote products manufactured in the Republic, as well as support local producers, Ministry of Economic Development proposed to establish a Trade Representation of the Republic of South Ossetia in the Russian Federation, in particular, in Moscow.
The proposal was approved by a unanimous decision of the Cabinet.
Head of State Anatoly Bibilov has noted that the creation of the Trade Representation is necessary and "will be a significant help for our business representatives."
"We need such a representation not to be purely on paper, but to be engaged in practical work. This is the most important task," the President said.
It should be noted that the resolution and regulation "On Trade Representations of the Republic of South Ossetia in Foreign States" was adopted by the Cabinet on July 29, 2020.
