As of the morning of December 21, in the "red zones" of the Republican Multidisciplinary Medical Center (RMMC) of South Ossetia, 67 patients with coronavirus are being treated. Three of them are in the intensive care unit, their condition is assessed as serious. This was reported to IA "Res» on Monday by the chief infectious disease specialist of the Republic, Eleonora Dzhioeva.

“Currently, there are 35 patients in the infectious diseases building of the RMMC, 32 in the building of the children's hospital,” the doctor said.

Over the past day, two patients were admitted to the "red zone" of the hospital, two more were discharged for follow-up treatment on an outpatient basis

In addition, one patient was transferred to a medical institution in Vladikavkaz for further treatment.

The chief infectious disease specialist of the Republic appealed to the population and urged them to comply with all preventive measures to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus infection.

It should be noted that the number of cases in the Republic since mid-September has reached 2,151. 40 more people have been removed from the register with a negative COVID-19 test, a total of 1,252 citizens were discharged from medical institutions. - 847 people remain under medical supervision.
