Public chambers of the Republic of South Ossetia and the Lugansk People's Republic at the end of this week signed a cooperation agreement. The signing ceremony, which the LPR delegation attended on behalf of the head of the Republic, Leonid Pasechnik, took place in Tskhinval.

The document was signed by the Chairman of the public chambers of South Ossetia and the LPR Sergey Kudziev and Alexey Karjakin.

The Chairman of the Public Chamber of the Republic of South Ossetia has noted that the signing of the document will become an impetus for solving common problems for the Republics.

“We hope that after the signing of this agreement, our ties will grow stronger and new opportunities for joint activities will appear. We are always open to cooperation and interaction with the Lugansk People's Republic,” added Kudziev.

Participants from the Republic in the Chernukhino-Debaltsevo operation were encouraged by the LPR awards, some were awarded posthumously.

“We remember that volunteers from all over the post-Soviet space, including residents of Alania, came to defend the people of our mining region. Such brotherly, human support can hardly be underestimated. Putting a shoulder and extending a helping hand in a fateful time for us, the friendly people of South Ossetia have become a faithful like-minded person for the people of the Luhansk region, who today provides all-round support to the inhabitants of the Republic. I wish you and all the South Ossetian people a peaceful sky, prosperity and all the best,” Karjakin said at the awards ceremony, reading the message of the head of the LPR.

Representatives of the LPR delegation laid flowers at the memorial cemetery to the victims of the Georgian aggression of 1989-1992 and 2008 in Tskhinval, visited the “Cemetery of burnt souls”, a monument to the intelligence officers perished in 2008, and also honored the memory of the victims of the Beslan tragedy in North Ossetia.
