Official Tbilisi continues to take actions leading to an increase in the military threat in the region, the KGB of South Ossetia reported.
“So, on May 28, around 20:00, in the vicinity of the settlement of Grom of Tskhinval district a group of unidentified citizens of Georgia violated the state border and committed vandal actions against the infrastructure of the RSO KGB Border Service - damage was caused to the observation post,” the press service said.
It was noted that the competent authorities of the Republic had opened a criminal case on this fact, and a "hot line" had been activated.
"The issue of this provocation will be discussed at the next meeting in the IPRM format, which will be held on June 15, 2021," the KGB said.
The KGB emphasizes that the actions of the Georgian side do not contribute to the stabilization of the situation on the state border of the RSO and are a threat to regional security.
