The issue of recognition of South Ossetia and Abkhazia is already an irreversible process, the head of the South Ossetian state Anatoly Bibilov said at the press conference in Tskhinval.
“The process of recognition of our countries is irreversible, and it does not matter to us how our opponents treat it, these are their problems. We see understanding and full support of our position on the part of many states in behind-the-scenes conversations. At the same time, any of our steps are trying to compromise or force those states with which we carry out certain work, not to make any decisions, threatening sanctions, internal destabilization in these states,” Bibilov said.
He has noted that the process of further recognition of South Ossetia and Abkhazia is a difficult process.
“But no matter how many years have passed, we will strive to increase the number of countries that have recognized South Ossetia and Abkhazia. We are taking serious steps in this direction,” the President noted.
On Saturday, presidents of South Ossetia and Abkhazia gave a press conference, during which they raised a number of issues related to the interaction of the two countries in various directions.
The leaders of the two republics also spoke about the threats posed by Georgia, talked about plans to share experiences in the fight against COVID-19, etc.
