South Ossetia expressed support for Crimea amid unfolding anti-Crimean and anti-Russian campaign

Minister of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia Dmitry Medoev sent a message to Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea - Permanent Representative of the Republic of Crimea to President of Russia Georgy Muradov on behalf of the South Ossetian branch of the Friends of Crimea International Association, the press service of the Republic's diplomatic department reported.

“The South Ossetian branch of the Friends of Crimea International Association is expressing its solidarity and support to the people and authorities of the Republic of Crimea in countering destructive external forces trying to prevent the positive development of the republic, slow down the processes of and socio- economic development of the peninsula,” the message reads.

The authors of the text have noted that observing the anti-Crimean and anti-Russian campaign launched by the current Ukrainian authorities and their sponsors, they are expressing their strong support for the fraternal people of the Republic of Crimea, the decision adopted by the overwhelming majority of the population of the peninsula in the referendum on reunification with Russia.

“No any forces will be able to destroy this unity! The Republic of Crimea is a historical, integral and legal part of the Russian Federation! ”- stressed the members of the South Ossetian branch of the Association.
