For the Orthodox, one of the most important Christian holidays has come - the Nativity of Christ. On the night of January 6-7, services were held in the churches of the Holy Trinity of the Russian Orthodox Church, the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos and the holy Equal-to-the-Apostles Kings Constantine and Helena of the Alan Diocese in Tskhinval, as well as in the Church of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos in the village of Khetagurovo.

At midnight on January 6, in the Church of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos, the cross procession of the priests and hundreds of parishioners began, myriads of candles were burning everywhere.

The Orthodox of the Republic were congratulating each other on Merry Christmas.

“Every year I come to church to take part in festive services. Today is a great holiday, on which I want to congratulate all Orthodox Christians. I wish you all good health and happiness,” Irina Kozaeva said in an interview with the correspondent of IA "Res".

Another young parishioner wished the Orthodox Christians of the Republic happiness and health, so that everything would be good for everyone.

“I try to participate in Christmas services every year. Usually I come with my mother, but this year, unfortunately, it didn't work out. I want to say thank you to everyone who became a part of this spiritual holiday,” said Alana Urtaeva.

The Divine Liturgy was being held all night in the temples, everything around was filled with a mysterious and spiritual atmosphere.
