President Anatoly Bibilov presented state awards to representatives of various spheres of life in South Ossetia.
The award ceremony was timed to coincide with the celebration of International Women's Day.
High awards - medals "In commemoration of the 10th anniversary of the Victory in the Patriotic War of the people of South Ossetia", diplomas were awarded to 68 people. Some of them were awarded honorary titles, and gratitude was also announced.
The head of state congratulated the representatives of fair sex on one of the warmest and most sincere holidays - the holiday of spring and attention to women. He has noted that women are involved in various spheres of life of the Republic and achieve significant success.
“You are really soft people, but at the same time you are hard in character, in relation to work. I always talk about the problems that accompany the work, for example, teachers who were stoking with firewood, doctors who were working in inhuman conditions. I admire the firmness of the spirit of women who gave their sons to defend their homeland. And you endured all these difficulties, because you have a great love for life from the fact that you yourself give this life. You have a huge heart that you give to your children,” he said.
Anatoly Bibilov thanked the audience for the ongoing work aimed at improving the welfare of the people of the Republic.
“A woman is the keeper of the hearth. Thanks to you and for your sake, men are trying to reach achievements in life. May success and joy accompany you all your life and may a happy smile never leave your lips. Women's happiness to you!”, - he said.
