As part of the action "From mothers and wives, we are with you!" gifts will be collected in Tskhinval for fighters from Ossetia participating in Russia's special military operation in Ukraine, Svetlana Kotaeva, chairman of the Coordinating Council of Russian Compatriots in South Ossetia, told the “Res” news agency.
“In order to support our guys fighting Nazism in Ukraine, we decided to organize an action “From mothers and wives, we are with you!”. Every woman of the Republic can knit a scarf, a pair of woolen socks, gloves or mittens for our defenders, so that they know how proud they are, hope for them and wait for their returning home.
The collection of gifts for military personnel will be held at the Russian House in Tskhinval, located on Issa Pliev (Ostrovsky) Street, 17 from March 28 to 31 from 15:00 to 18:00,” Kotaeva said.
According to the Chairman of the Coordinating Council of Russian Compatriots, every citizen of the Republic can send a parcel to a specific addressee.
“If one of the relatives of the fighters wants to hand over the package to a specific person, then he can bring a packaged and signed package to the collection point, and it will certainly be handed over to the recipient. This can be done by everyone without any restrictions,” the agency’s interlocutor noted.
The organizers of this action are the Coordinating Council of Russian Compatriots in South Ossetia, the 4th Guards Military Base and the Russian House in Tskhinval.
As added by Kotaeva , many people expressed their interest in taking part in the action.
