The humanitarian aid collected by the population of South Ossetia is intended for all segments of the population,” President of the Republic of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov told reporters.
In Tskhinval, the President's wife Linda Kumaritova organized a collection of humanitarian aid to residents of the DPR, LPR and military personnel participating in Russia's special military operation in Ukraine. The collected aid will be downloaded and sent today.
“This humanitarian aid will be sent to Donbass. The aid is for all segments of the population. It has everything from baby food, medicines, food. Sleeping bags, communications equipment and uniforms were collected for the military. Among the parcels there is also the targeted assistance,” the President said.
The head of state noted that this is not the last assistance that South Ossetia will provide to Donbass.
“We will be still collecting and sending the aid to Donbass, especially since there are many who want to help. We must remember the assistance provided to South Ossetia after 2008 by the same countries - the DPR, the LPR, the city of Odessa, so this humanitarian assistance can also be considered a sign of gratitude from us. South Ossetia will not remain aloof from problems in the Donbass, we will continue to help them,” the President stressed.
The President added that he himself intends to visit the People's republics. According to him, such a visit is due to the desire to visit the servicemen sent to the zone of a special military operation from South Ossetia, to see and help them with what they need.
