The leadership of the Prosecutor General's Office of South Ossetia discussed with the Prosecutor of North Ossetia-Alania Alexander Morozov and the representative of the Prosecutor General's Office of Russia Sergey Efimov the issues of cooperation in the field of combating cross-border crime, according to the website of the supervisory authority.

The event was also attended by Vasily Shepelev, Director of the Joint Information and Control Center of the Internal Affairs Bodies of the Republic and the Russian Federation, and Sergey Nadezhkin, Head of the Crime Control Coordination Department.

Acting Prosecutor General Sergei Bitiev has expressed confidence that, thanks to good prospects and mutual interest, future cooperation will continue in an even more expanded format; the emerging relations between the departments will be strengthening and developing in order to further ensure law and order in the territories of both states. He has stressed that such visits give the additional impetus to the development of bilateral relations and are the key to the success of consolidated efforts to combat cross-border crime.
