The world-famous flutist Monica Moroni gave a concert in the capital of South Ossetia the day before.

The musician arrived as part of the Italian delegation to participate in the mourning events dedicated to the 18th anniversary of the terrorist attack at school No. 1 in the city of Beslan.

The flutist performed Rossini's Tarantella, Bach's works, as well as modern music for the South Ossetian audience.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic, Akhsar Dzhioev, thanked Moroni for a wonderful evening.

“Thank you for the wonderful performance of magnificent works. We hope our friends in Italy and San Marino will be happy and prosperous. We also express the hope that our friendship, which you once again demonstrated today, will be developing. We know that you were in Beslan and honored the memory of the victims who fell at the hands of terrorists. We are infinitely grateful to you and hope that your visit to our republic will not be the last. We are always glad to see you and welcome again,” said Dzhioev.

Moroni has noted that she hopes to visit South Ossetia again and, on behalf of the Republic of San Marino and on her own behalf, presented the head of the Foreign Ministry with a badge as a symbol of San Marino's attention and love for the Ossetian people.
