Fifteen children from families of citizens of South Ossetia who went missing during the armed conflicts in 1990-2008 rested at the Tsey resort in North Ossetia. This was reported to the agency "Res" by the head of the ICRC press service Marina Tedety.
“The International Committee of the Red Cross has been supporting the families of the missing, including within the framework of the program of psychosocial assistance. We support various initiatives coming from the families themselves, including activities that will help families feel supported and involved within the community,” Tedety said.
As part of the trip to the Tsey Gorge, hiking, excursions and other interesting events were organized.
Marina Tedety added that this was not the first event involving children from families of the missing persons.
“In October, a trip to the hippodrome in the village of Satskhenet was organized for them. We know how beneficial communication with animals, in particular with horses, has on children," said the representative of the ICRC.
The trip is organized by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in the Republic with the assistance of the Ski Federation of South Ossetia.
