A cooperation agreement was signed between the capitals of South Ossetia and the Karachay-Cherkessia Republic on Monday. The agreement on establishing sister city relations between the two cities was signed by the mayor of Tskhinval Geno Kadzhaev and the head of the municipality of Cherkessk Valery Deduk.

As noted by Deduk, a long and thorough work has been done on the agreement and expressed hope for fruitful work.

“The Ossetian organization in Karachay-Cherkessia appealed to the city Duma with a request to conclude an agreement between the two cities. We signed this agreement today, which we are very pleased about and will continue to cooperate in full," he said.

According to Geno Kadzhaev, a few months ago, delegates from Karachay-Cherkessia came to the Republic on a friendly visit, and since then preparations for agreements have begun.

“Within the framework of cooperation, interaction is planned in various fields: student, sports, creative. We agreed with our guests that we need to bring together our youth and creative teams. We have already planned a number of events that will be implemented in the near future,” the mayor said.

After the signing of the agreement on the establishment of sister city relations between Tskhinval and Cherkessk, the parties exchanged memorable gifts.
