Citizens of Turkmenistan and Turkey, violated the border of South Ossetia with Georgia in August, were handed over to the Georgian authorities, the press service of the KGB of the Republic reports.
"On August 23, in the vicinity of the village of Amdzarin, Leningor district, for illegal crossing of the state border by the border authorities of the Republic, were detained.citizens of Turkmenistan Choliev Razgeldi Annamuradovich, born in 1994, and citizens of Turkey, Tolga Demir, born in 1992,
It has been established that these foreigners deliberately crossed the state border of South Ossetia with Georgia, intending to enter the Russian Federation through South Ossetia," the press service said.
OnOctober 21 Choliev R.G. and Tolga D. were found guilty by the Leningor District Court of committing a crime under Art. 322 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Illegal crossing of the State Border" and sentenced to six months in prison.
"On December 29, the violators were handed over to the Georgian authorities in accordance with the established procedure," the department noted.
