Russia's financial assistance provided for socio-economic development of South Ossetia in 2023 amounts to 5 billion 892 thousand rubles, of which the Republic has already received about 20 percent. This was announced on Wednesday at the meeting on socio-economic cooperation between the Russian Federation and South Ossetia in Tskhinval, Minister of Finance of the Republic Kazbek Tsarikaev.
“To date, more than one billion rubles have been received from this assistance, approximately this amount is 20 percent of the total amount of financial assistance for the socio-economic development of the Republic,” Tsarikaev said.
According to him, to date, the funds have been used to form and ensure the activities of the coordinating joint center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, increase the salaries of state and municipal employees, co-financing the salaries of civil servants, increase the remuneration of employees of state security and foreign intelligence, etc.
"Funds have also been received to reimburse the costs of Energoresurs-South Ossetia for the payment of Rosseti services for technological connection - 127 million 809 thousand rubles," Tsarikaev said. The services will be paid for within a few days."
