The participation of South Ossetia in such events as the first Caucasian Investment Exhibition in Mineralnye Vody creates a positive image for the Republic, Vyacheslav Dzhabiev, a scientist, head of the socio-economic research department of the South Ossetia Research Institute noted in a commentary to Res.
“Participation in the events of this scale plays a huge role both for the image of our Republic and for the promotion of its national production. We need branding of national productions, their entry to the international level. At the last investment exhibition, we have seen that many governors, politicians, and those entrepreneurs who participated in it became interested in our products,” he said.
Dzhabiev has added that brands are gradually being created in the Republic, “there is already a line of wine and vodka products, brands of the Ossetian sauce, honey, and other national productions will follow in time.”
The scientist drew attention to the proposal of the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin to increase the export of stone for the Russian construction industry, which South Ossetia is relatively rich in.
Dzhabiev also called the meeting of the President of South Ossetia with the leaders of the regions of the Russian Federation a positive moment.
“The establishment of personal, friendly and business contacts is very important,” Dzhabiev has concluded.
The Caucasian Investment Exhibition in Mineralnye Vody was being held from May 2 to May 4, 2023 at the MinvodyEXPO IEC. The delegation of South Ossetia was headed by President Alan Gagloev.
The exhibition was organized by the Rosscongress Foundation with the support of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation and the government of the Stavropol Territory.
