Ambassador of South Ossetia to Russia Znaur Gassiev took part in the prayer service for the victims of the 08.08.08 war in Moscow, the press service of the diplomatic organization reports.
The prayer service took place on August 8 at the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Moscow. Those present were praying for the salvation of the souls of the peaceful citizens of South Ossetia, the defenders of Tskhinval, Ossetian and Russian military personnel of the Peacekeeping Forces, soldiers and officers of the Russian army who had defended South Ossetia from physical destruction at the cost of their lives.
The commemorative event was attended by employees of the Embassy of the Republic of South Ossetia, the Embassy of the Republic of Abkhazia, the permanent mission of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania under the President of the Russian Federation in Moscow, the permanent mission of the Republic of Crimea under the President of the Russian Federation in Moscow, the Moscow Ossetian community, as well as parishioners of the temple.
