“Emerging issues are resolved at the level of the Russian government, and we will continue to provide the necessary assistance to the allies,” he has noted. “Within the framework of the IGC, many practical issues have been resolved, further work will consolidate the results and give new impetus to bilateral relations.”
President of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev has noted that within the framework of the meetings of the Intergovernmental Commission, decisions are made that help improving the well-being of the citizens of the Republic.
“We are ready for a constructive discussion of the tasks that face us,” the President said.
At the meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission, the parties are discussing the provision of financial assistance by the Russian Federation to South Ossetia in 2023 for the purpose of its socio-economic development, including the implementation of the agreements concluded within the framework of the development of the Treaty of Alliance and Integration, the state program “Socio-economic development of the Republic of South Ossetia” Ossetia for 2022-2025,” the action plan to optimize the energy supply of the Republic of South Ossetia, previous investment programs, as well as customs interaction between the two countries.
The Russian delegation that arrived in the Republic to participate in the meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission has also included: Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Dmitry Volvach, Head of the Russian Presidential Department for Interregional and Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries Igor Maslov, Deputy Head of the Federal Customs Service Vladimir Ivin.
The previous meeting of the Commission was held in Moscow on February 8 this year.
