On January 29, the South Ossetian State University will host a scientific and practical conference “The Ukrainian crisis: origins, development trends, geopolitical context,” the Russian Embassy in South Ossetia informed the IA"Res" .
The discussion will be devoted to consideration of the sources of origin, ideological and political nuances of the Ukrainian nationalism/Nazism, the current situation with the glorification of Nazism, the spread of neo-Nazism, the escalation of racism and xenophobia in Ukraine, and the efforts made by the Russian side to preserve historical truth.
Participants will also pay attention to the geopolitical aspects of the conflict in Ukraine, historical background and the role of Russia in its resolution.
During the event, prominent Russian experts on Ukrainian issues will make presentations - Doctor of Philosophy, Director of the ANO Center for Public and Information Cooperation "Europe" Eduard Popov and Director of the Institute of Socio-Political Research and Regional Development, Ph.D. Igor Shornikov, as well as a representative of the Second CIS Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
In addition, on January 30, a meeting between Popov and Shornikov with the faculty and students of the University will take place at the South Ossetian State University.
