The South Ossetian Parliament elected the heads of the Committees

The South Ossetian Parliament appointed heads of ten parliamentary committees during its session on Tuesday.

The session began with a minute of silence in memory of Albert Tskhovrebov, a fighter from South Ossetia perished in ​​the special military operation zone. His funeral will take place today in Dzau district.

25 deputies are taking part in the session; representatives of the United Ossetia party did not show up for the meeting again.

During the session, Zita Besayeva, the first Vice-Speaker of the Parliament, was elected chairperson of the Committee on Legislation, Legality and Local self-government.

Spartak Tomaev was elected chairperson of the Budget and Taxes Committee.

Zaza Driayev was again elected chairperson of the Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Policy and Inter-parliamentary Relations. The deputy held this position in the seventh convocation.

Soslan Gagiev was elected as the head of the Parliamentary Committee on Defense and Security.

Alexander Pliev was elected as the head of the Parliamentary Committee on Social Policy and Health Care. He held this position in the Parliament of the seventh convocation.

Ruslan Khubezhov has become the head of the Parliamentary Committee on National Policy, Culture, Religion and Media.

Vice-Speaker of Parliament Taimuraz Tadtayev was elected as the Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Education and Science.

Deputy Robert Tabuev was elected as the head of the Parliamentary Committee on Youth, Sports and Tourism.

Deputy Arsen Kvezerov was elected as the head of the Parliamentary Committee on Economics, Small business and Agriculture.

Ivan Slanov was elected as the head of the Committee on Industry, Construction, Transport, Communications and Natural Resources.

Alan Margiev congratulated all the deputies on their election as heads of the committees and thanked them for their responsible approach to the work of the Parliament session.

"We were elected by people of the Republic and each of us is responsible to our voters. We all see what negative processes are happening in the world, so no one should let down the work of Parliament. For my part, I once again express my readiness to work with each deputy on the issues that voters put before us," Margiev said.
