South Ossetia is taking part in the Regional Youth Conference of Russian Compatriots of the Near Abroad Countries “Creating the Future Together: Youth Initiatives in the CIS” in Bishkek.
As reported to IA “Res” by Svetlana Kotaeva, Chairperson of the Coordinating Council of Public Organizations of Russian Compatriots (KSORS) in the Republic, the event brought together representatives from 10 countries.
“South Ossetia is represented by Alexander Arsoev, a member of the KSORS and the Rossy organization. The participants are discussing current issues of consolidating compatriot organizations, protecting their rights, and effectively promoting the Russian language and culture in the post-Soviet space. Particular attention is paid to the theme of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory and issues of historical memory and education of youth in the CIS countries,” Kotaeva said.
The conference program has included panel discussions, interactive trainings on risk management in organizing events and preparing projects, as well as a cultural program.
The conference is organized by Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation and the Government of Moscow.
