After the collapse of the Soviet Union, all necessary procedures for the legal registration of the young republic and its establishment as an independent state were carried out in South Ossetia. This is stated in the message of the Embassy of the Republic of South Ossetia in the Russian Federation, which the diplomatic mission sent to all diplomatic missions accredited in the Russian Federation, as well as to the Georgian Interests Section at the Embassy of Switzerland in connection with the 34th anniversary of the formation of the Republic of South Ossetia.

A ceremonial event dedicated to the National Flag Day of the Republic of South Ossetia was held on the Theater Square of the hero city of Tskhinval.

The official ceremony of raising the national flag of the Republic took place at the beginning of the event.

The event was attended by the leadership of the Republic, headed by President Alan Gagloev, the heads of ministries and departments, the Russian Ambassador to South Ossetia Marat Kulakhmetov, as well as the public of the Republic.

The Ossetian flag united the nation and led the way, in a short time becoming a recognized unifying and representative symbol of Alania. This is stated in the address of President of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev on the occasion of the celebration of the Day of the State Flag.

Gagloev has emphasized that the white-red-yellow Alanian tricolor was recreated by participants in the movement to protect the rights of the people of South Ossetia.

The State Song and Dance Group "Simd" will perform on the stage of the Bolshoi Theater of Russia as part of the celebration of the Days of Ossetia in Moscow. As reported by Minister of Culture of South Ossetia Rada Dzagoeva at the press conference, the events will be dedicated to the 250th anniversary of Ossetia's accession to Russia.

In the period preceding the parliamentary elections in Georgia, the topic of the Georgian-Ossetian relations will be used, one way or another, in the domestic political pre-election struggle, the South Ossetian Foreign Ministry has noted, commenting on the statements of representatives of the Georgian Dream party.

A memorial plaque to the Hero of the Caucasus, a native of South Ossetia Dmitry Enaldiev was unveiled in the South Ossetian capital.

The ceremony was attended by Secretary of the Security Council Anatoly Pliev, the First Deputy Chairman of the government of the Republic Alan Dzhioev, representatives of the Tskhinval administration headed by Mayor Romeo Khugaev, representatives of the Enaldiev family, and others.

The attendees were introduced to Dmitry's biography, family friends and neighbors shared their memories of him.

South Ossetia and Russia are developing cooperation in the cultural sphere; within the framework of the 10th St. Petersburg Forum of United Cultures, the parties confirmed the importance of bilateral relations. As reported by Minister of Culture of the Republic Rada Dzagoeva at the press conference, this year's Forum was an anniversary one, and representatives from 80 countries of the world took part in it.

South Ossetia remembers very well and highly appreciates ​​Russia's contribution to establishing peace and stability in Transcaucasia, according to the press release of the Republic's Foreign Ministry on the occasion of the 16th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation and Mutual Assistance between the two states.

The international medical conference in Tskhinval contributes not only to the development of medicine, but also to strengthening of ties between regions, acting chief physician of the Central Hospital of the Zolsky Municipal District of the Kabardino-Balkaria Republic Aksana Ligidova has noted.

South Ossetian President Alan Gagloev has presented state awards to the Russian doctors who arrived in Tskhinval to participate in the II International Medical Conference "Practical Aspects of Healthcare Development". This was reported by the press service of the head of state.

The leader of the Republic, addressing the guests, thanked them for visiting South Ossetia as part of such a significant event for the healthcare sector and their readiness to provide any assistance required by the Ossetian people.
