The destructive position taken by the representatives of Georgia does not allow progress in resolving the key issue of drafting a legally binding document designed to guarantee the security of South Ossetia and Abkhazia, which is becoming increasingly important against the backdrop of the continuing build-up of Georgia's military potential and the expansion of the North Atlantic Alliance's activity in the region.

This is stated in the message of the South Ossetian delegation to the media on the results of the 54th round of the Geneva discussions on security in Transcaucasia.

At the next round of Geneva discussions on security in Transcaucasia, South Ossetian representatives still intend to seek concrete progress in working out a document on the non-use of force by Georgia against South Ossetia and Abkhazia, the head of the South Ossetian delegation at the discussions, State Adviser to the President of the Republic Konstantin Kochiev told the “Res” news agency.

"There is the documented information that the three guys were definitely in the hands of the Georgian police. Let them give us at least the remains, so that we can bury them humanly, and relatives can come to their graves," the President said.

South Ossetia has no doubts that the co-chairs of the Geneva discussions on security in Transcaucasia want to do everything possible to keep the border between South Ossetia and Georgia calm. Toivo Klaar, Chihan Sultanoglu and Annika Söder, co-chairs of the Geneva discussions on security in Transcaucasia from the EU, UN and OSCE, will arrive in Tskhinval on Thursday to discuss the agenda of the upcoming round of discussions in October, the press service of the South Ossetian presidential envoy's office for post-conflict settlement told the "Res" news agency.

“The co-chairs will meet with members of the South Ossetian delegation at the Geneva Discussions and President of the Republic Anatoly Bibilov,” the press service said.
