Akhsar Dzhioev confirmed South Ossetia's commitment to developing cooperation with Transnistria

Acting Foreign Minister of South Ossetia Akhsar Dzhioev and the head of the official representative of Transnistria in the Republic, Alan Pliev, participated in a meeting of the Transnistrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs' reporting board dedicated to the results of 2025.

The event was held via video conference, according to the press service of the RSO Foreign Ministry.

"Akhsar congratulated his Transnistrian colleagues on their professional holiday and confirmed South Ossetia's unwavering commitment to further developing bilateral cooperation," the press service has noted.

South Ossetia is participating in the First International Congress of Public Administration

The Embassy of South Ossetia is participating in the First International Congress of Public Executive Office at the invitation of the Russian Presidential Administration, the Embassy's press service reports.

The event will be holding at the Presidential Academy in Moscow from February 10 to 13.

Welcoming the participants and guests of the congress, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin emphasized the event's role in establishing direct professional dialogue and sharing best practices for addressing economic and social challenges.

The banks of South Ossetia and Russia discussed strengthening cooperation

A working meeting between Soslan Bekoev, Chairman of the National Bank of South Ossetia, and Sergey Belov, Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, took place in Moscow.

The meeting was held on the instruction of Alan Gagloev, President of the Republic of South Ossetia, according to the Bank of Alania press service.

 South Ossetia announced the start of supplies of the Highland glacier water, to the Russian market

At the Prodexpo 2026, new mountain glacier water, Highland Water, from South Ossetia was showcased.

As noted by Taimuraz Goginov, Trade Representative of the Republic of South Ossetia in Russia, the South Ossetian producers plan to become one of the largest suppliers of beverages from the high-mountain districts to the Russian Federation.

On the first day of the Prodexpo-2026 International Exhibition, South Ossetia won two awards at the prestigious competition, Taimuraz Goginov, the Republic's trade representative in the Russian Federation, reports.

A farewell ceremony for Alexander Bestaev, perished in the special military operation zone, took place in Tskhinval

South Ossetia paid its last respects to its hero, 25-year-old soldier Alexander Bestaev, who died heroically in the line of duty during the special military operation.

The memorial service was attended by the Republic's leadership, led by President Alan Gagloev, Russian Ambassador to South Ossetia Marat Kulakhmetov, his comrades, relatives and friends.

Adressing those present, Alan Gagloev has emphasized that the Republic deeply empathizes with each such loss.

The KGB of South Ossetia summed up the results of protection of the state border in January 2026

The State Security Committee of South Ossetia has released the data on the results of activities to protect the state border for the first month of 2026.

According to the agency's official statement, 22 law violators were detained at various points along the border in January.

Sixteen of these persons violated the state border regulations, and six violated the border regulations.

The KGB Border Service officers investigated each identified incident.

South Ossetia will present a new product at the Prodexpo 2026: the mountain glacier water

At the Prodexpo 2026, South Ossetia will debut a new product: the mountain glacier water under the Highland Water brand, according to the Forum's official website.

The Republic continues its tradition of participating in Prodexpo for the sixth consecutive year.

The exhibition will also feature products from the leading South Ossetian manufacturers, including beverages from the Republic's highlands, natural honey, and other national products.

This year, the national exhibit will be presented at two stands, organized as presentation platforms.

Artists from South Ossetia will perform in Crimea this summer as part of the "Big Tour" project

The Kosta Khetagurov State Drama Theater of South Ossetia will be hosted in Crimea in the second half of June, the Ministry of Culture press service reported.

"As part of the project's international focus, the South Ossetian theater will present three plays from its repertoire in Sevastopol, Simferopol, and Yalta: Chekhov's "Ivanov" (directed by K. Dzheliev), "Kosta" (directed by R. Gabria), and G. Khugaev's "Black Burka" (directed by K. Dzheliev)," the press service reported.
