The Ministry for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia disseminated a statement in relation to the "statement" of President Eduard Kokoity published in media. The statement reads: "On 1 June 2010, some electronic media sources placed a statement allegedly signed by the President of the Republic of South Ossetia Eduard Kokoity.
As a result, the Embassy of the Republic of South Ossetia in Moscow was addressed by one of radio stations of Israel to express doubts about reliability of this information of deliberately provocative nature and to present the original version of the false statement. Brief survey of this "document" strikes with poor work of the engaged PR specialists and the low quality of this fake paper, the content of which is pure insinuation and sordid fabrication with the use of dirty technologies. To prove this, one should pay attention to the depiction of South Ossetia's national emblem, where two rude mistakes were made, as well as the fake signature of the president, who has his personal letterhead.

The head title contains "South Ossetia" as the name of our state and unclear misspelled word "presidnt", which could only be referred to the implementers' low education. The Ministry for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia considers this act as a rude and low quality provocation aimed at discrediting the authorities of South Ossetia and misinforming world public, as an attempt to engage the Republic into complicated tangle of world conflicts. Regrettably, there are still media sources, which dare place similar materials on the web-pages expecting that this fudge is perceived as the truth. It is not a coincidence that this fake report was immediately placed by one of pro-Georgian web-sources, which had previously published biased information about the situation in South Ossetia. Taking into consideration the possible reoccurrence of similar provocations against South Ossetia, the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of RSO calls on media representatives covering the processes in the region to be extremely vigilant to prevent themselves from appearing in the same company with biased media."
