Two Georgian Detainees Released and Returned to Georgia

Two Georgian citizens detained by law enforcement authorities of South Ossetia for illegal crossing of the state border of South Ossetia with Georgia were handed over to the Georgian side, reported the Press Service of the KGB of South Ossetia.
"Kharazishvili Tamaz Nikolaevich, DOB 1956 and Abasadze Sergo Shalvovich, DOB 1935, were transferred to the Georgian side. Another four Georgian nationals arrested for similar violations Iardalashvili Jemal, 1974, Samkharadze Kaha Merabovich, 1984, Tokadze Ramaz Khtisovich, 1975 and Salamashvili Ilia Areshoevich, 1980 are still in the territory of South Ossetia, due to the absence of identification documents " said the press-service of the KGB.
It was noted that the Georgian authorities were about to transfer to South Ossetia the identification documents of the detainees.

It is worth reminding that according to the KGB of South Ossetia, from 14 to 18 January, the law enforcement agencies detained for illegally crossing the border of South Ossetia ten people, six of whom were the citizens of Georgia.
"In accordance with established procedures, on January 17official representative of the KGB of South Ossetia addressed to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia an enquiry to provide identification documents of the detained," stated the KGB on 19 January.
